Products Description

Scrap metal pre-crusher is a kind of mechanical equipment specially used for primary crushing of scrap metal materials. Its main function is to pre-crush large and irregular scrap metals (such as scrap car bodies, metal furniture, metal structural parts, metal packaging barrels, etc.) into smaller sizes (usually 50-200mm) for subsequent sorting, smelting or deep processing. Its core goal is to improve the recycling efficiency of scrap metal, reduce transportation and processing costs, and create conditions for subsequent processing links (such as magnetic separation, eddy current separation, briquetting, etc.).

Working principle of scrap metal pre-crusher:
Scrap metal pre-crusher breaks large pieces of scrap metal into small pieces through mechanical force (impact, extrusion, shearing, etc.). The working principles of different types of pre-crushers are slightly different, and common methods include:
Impact crushing: A high-speed rotating hammer or blade hits the scrap metal and uses the impact force to crush it (suitable for metals with strong brittleness or medium hardness, such as cast iron and light metal alloys).
Extrusion crushing: Through the relative movement of the movable jaw plate and the fixed jaw plate, pressure is applied to the scrap metal to make it break under the action of extrusion (suitable for metals with strong toughness, such as steel and copper).
Shear crushing: Use the shear force of the rotating tool or fixed blade to "cut" the metal material (suitable for thin-walled metal, metal pipes, wires, etc.).
Composite crushing: Combining multiple force fields of impact, extrusion, and shearing to adapt to scrap metals of complex shapes or mixed materials (such as mixed scrap after automobile dismantling).

Scrap metal pre-crushers are usually composed of the following key components:
1. Crushing chamber: The core area of metal material crushing, the inner wall is lined with high-wear-resistant materials (such as manganese steel, high-chromium cast iron) to resist the wear of metal fragments.
2. Rotor/moving knife assembly: The core component that drives the crushing, including high-speed rotating hammers, blades or jaws (mostly made of high manganese steel and alloy steel, which must have high hardness and impact resistance).
3. Feeding system: including feeding hopper, conveyor belt or vibrating feeder, used to feed scrap metal into the crushing chamber evenly and stably to avoid overloading or jamming.
4. Discharging screening device: control the discharging particle size through the screen (such as fixed screen, vibrating screen) to ensure that the crushed metal blocks meet the subsequent processing requirements (such as ≤50mm).
5. Driving system: composed of motor, reducer, pulley or coupling, providing power to the rotor (power is usually 50-500kW, depending on the processing volume).
6. Safety protection device: such as overload protector, emergency stop button, hydraulic cavity clearing system (to prevent metal winding or jamming from causing equipment damage).

Scrap aluminum scrap metal crusher is a kind of equipment specially designed for processing scrap aluminum products. It breaks large pieces of aluminum into small particles through the striking and tearing ability of the hammer head, which is convenient for subsequent transportation and reprocessing. Its main working principle is to efficiently shear, squeeze and crush the aluminum material through the interaction between the high-speed rotating hammer head and the liner.

Process flow of scrap steel/aluminum/iron crushers recycling line:

Pretreatment: remove non-metallic attachments such as liquids and plastics from metal materials.

Crushing: the material enters the crushing chamber and is crushed at high speed by a hammer or a cutter disc.
